I did not disclose a offense that was about 20years ago?
February 252010
I was convicted of having a crowbar in my car 20 years ago (possesion of a dangerous weapon..damm) So petty, the officer was just a @#$%. I was seventeen, so did not know better and just pleaded no contest. Now I tried to get my realestate license and it came up. I forgot all about it. I need to explain the truth in a professional manner; if their is. Help
If you were 17, you were a minor and it should have been expunged from your record. talk to a lawyer. in the mean time be honest and let them know.

Twenty years ago I had a crowbar in my car, and the charge was possession of a dangerous weapon. I thought it was covered as a juvenile offense, so my apologies for not disclosing it, but in my defense it has not shown up once for the past 20 years. I also have not had anything since, so I learned my lesson…
Truth will set you free!

Tell them you forgot about it, admit it, and move on. Be honest. I know people who did similar things and were admitted to the bar, which has a MUCH more strenuous standard for admission than does the real estate commission, at least in my state.
