Are you in debt ? If so have you heard of Dave Ramsey ?

This guy is pretty smart about money.I get him on the radio in
Washington State on channel 630 week days at 3pm.By tunning
in I have started doing something about getting out of debt.He is also on the web.He went from having 4 million in realestate at age 26 and at age 30 he was bankrupt .Now he helps people all
over who are in debt but want financial freedom.

He is great! Not only does he offer sound advice for people in debt but also sound advice for people out of debt and need to understand investing and insurance, etc.

He is right on with an emergency fund- if you don’t have $1000 in the bank when you start the debt snowball, what will you use when you have an emergency? The dumb credit card!

He has great common sense on all things finance- he is great!

I have read his book; he has a lot of very good, simple ideas that can be hard to follow if you are not committed to getting out of debt. If you are serious about it, though, those ideas can produce amazing results.

I was surprised to see how many of his ideas (especially the debt snowball) I had been using and getting good results from, prior to reading about them in his book.

He’s a good man for helping so many people with their debt and being a movitator but I don’t get agree with a lot he says.

The main one is that he wants everyone to get an emergency fund immediately. When people have credit card debts with double digit interest rates, why are they trying to build an emergency fund? Get the damn cards paid off first then build the fund. And I don’t agree with him after you get your financial freedom, but I won’t go into that.

I like what he is doing though and he needs to be the main man people go to for advice. He’s the Oprah and Dr. Phil of finances. (If I only had one wish, ha ha).
